University of Minnesota PIRE student Andrew Fang will be presenting  at the ISIE Conference 2015, that will take place this July 7-10 in Guildford, UK. The talk is titled: Co-benefits of Carbon Mitigation: Impact on PM2.5 Emissions and Water Consumption in a Chinese City.

The study focused on modeling PM2.5 emissions and water consumption in a case study Chinese city to identify interventions that reduced both carbon and PM2.5 emissions. The interventions were then modeled to determine the impact on carbon, PM2.5 and water withdrawals. Authors of this study are: Andrew Fang (University of Minnesota), Raj Lal (Georgia Institute of Technology), Jiefeng Kang (Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences), Karoline Johnson (Georgia Institute of Technology), Chengxin (Tony) Qin (Tsinghua University), Dr. Anu Ramaswami (University of Minnesota), Dr. Armistead (Ted) Russell (Georgia Institute of Technology), Dr. Shenghui Cui (Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences).
