Until Next Time

Written by Andrew Fang

It’s been a whirlwind 2 weeks, traveling from Shanghai to Wuxi to Yixing to Xiamen.

We just wrapped up the Summer School with a successful workshop in Xiamen! We presented are work for city officials and representatives from the DRC. Professor Cui and the whole Institute of Urban Environment were very gracious hosts. It will be strange to not have group dinners and shared laundry detergent and crowded subway trips together. Of course, we’ll miss our Chinese counterparts the most.

My most memorable image is this one below, mainly because we saw it hundreds of times no matter which city we were in. The sheer amount of construction and development is amazing.
